Hobo Bear is a laid back hostel located in the historical center
of Zagreb, in a typical downtown street, named after the
renaissance painter Medulic. Like renaissance was all about the
'Man', we are all about our guests, whether they are backpackers,
modern hobos or just people looking for some fun.
We are easy to reach from bus/train stations and the airport and
from our doorstep Zagreb is easy to explore. Couple of steps away
is the Zagreb's main street Ilica and in 5 minutes walk you will
reach all of Zagreb's top sights, as well the antiques market,
terraces in the Flower square 'coffee zone', top bars and clubs. In
our neighborhood you can find everything you need from post office,
to open market.
Hobo Bear is 'traveler-tailored' on the inside as well. The
authentic 100-year old building is a unique hideaway where you feel
at home the moment you come through the door - big enough to gather
a party, cozy enough for a nap in front the TV.
We accommodate our guests in comfortable dorms and private rooms,
our spotless bathrooms offer hot showers 24 hours a day and our
kitchen is perfect for talking to new buddies with mouth full of
cooked food.
The heart of our hostel is the common room with original brick
walls that resemble an old wine cellar, with a big difference in
temperature, of course :-). It is a place to read a book (or write
one), surf the free Internet, contemplate over a cup of tea,
fortune tell from a coffee mug...or to kick-start your bar
hopping.
